Intermediate Emergency First Aid Responder (IEFAR)
The Intermediate Emergency First Aid Responder (IEFAR) takes your first aid capability to a higher level, building on the foundations of BEFAR to prepare you for a broader and more complex range of workplace emergencies. Registered at NQF Level 3 and carrying 5 credits, this three-day course replaces the old First Aid Level 2 and sets a new benchmark for intermediate responders across South African industry. You will develop deeper knowledge of human anatomy, more advanced trauma management skills, and the ability to handle multi-system medical emergencies with composure and competence. IEFAR is the qualification that transforms a basic first aider into a trusted, capable workplace responder.
